The conference is enriched by international and nationally renowned experts and pioneers in the field of epilepsy and neurophysiologists who will shed light on the basic and the most advanced science and technology in different aspects of epilepsy care and science. In addition, this conference provides an excellent opportunity to interact with colleagues on person and virtually as well and friends from all over the world and the region to exchange ideas and establish productive collaboration.
This congress is indeed the largest epilepsy congress in the region that is brought to you by the collaboration of the Saudi Epilepsy Society (SES), ILAE-Eastern Mediterranean and the International Epilepsy Surgery Society (IESS). The congress would provide updates in latest treatments, therapeutic strategies, diagnostic aids and clinical research in epilepsy in the EMR and around the world. In addition, the congress supports the advancement of epilepsy science and knowledge. We will continue to create sustainable scientific activities that aim to provide an in-depth understanding of epilepsy to maximize the knowledge and skills of all health care providers and scientists for optimal clinical care. The Iraqi Chapter Against Epilepsy is pleased to announce that The First Iraqi Epilepsy Conference has been conducted successfully on Friday and Saturday, December 1st and 2nd, 2023, at the Rotana Babylon Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq.
The turnout was excellent, with over 350 participants on the first day and 150 on the second day from various districts around Iraq. The conference kicked-off with a speech from the President of the Iraqi Chapter Against Epilepsy and Chair of the ILAE-EMR.
The audience engagement was excellent, providing a great opportunity for epilepsy professionals to share expertise, knowledge, and skills especially with the participation of an array of professors from different countries such as the UK, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar in person and live lectures.
The scientific agenda included a series of scientific sessions with 30 lectures spread over two days & the attendees were among specialties of Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Neurophysiologists, Pediatric Neurologists, EEG units' staff, Pharmacists & Nurses.
