It is with great pleasure and honor that I extend a warm welcome to each of you into our joint meeting of the 7th Eastern Mediterranean Epilepsy Congress (7th EMEC) & The 2nd Iraqi Epilepsy Conference (2nd IqEC).
The 7th EMEC, taking place in the historic city of Baghdad from December 12-14, 2024. This congress marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to advance the understanding, treatment, and management of epilepsy in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

On behalf of the Iraqi Chapter Against Epilepsy, it is my great honor and privilege to welcome you to the 7th Eastern Mediterranean Epilepsy Congress (7th EMEC) & The Second Iraqi Epilepsy Conference (2nd IqEC). The 7th regional convention is being hosted for the very first time in Iraq, and it marks a significant step forward our joint efforts to advance the understanding, treatment, and management of epilepsy in Iraq and beyond.
Epilepsy is a challenging neurological condition that impacts millions of individuals worldwide, affecting not only their health but also their quality of life.
